...and it rained for forty days and forty nights.

It's still raining; pouring to be exact. We've been receiving rain since last week. I haven't seen the sun for five days now. The thing is that the soil can't take it anymore and floods are the order of the day. Thank heavens we're alright but many families had their houses and belonging covered in water and I feel bad to be alright.

I was aware of this atmospheric phenomenon that was approaching the island but last weekend, just below us, it became Storm Danny. I'd freaked out. I do hate storm and hurricane. I was frantic last Sunday, we felt some winds -of thirty something miles per hour- they may be sort of stupid winds but I can't stand them. And this from someone that loves wind. I can sense the difference between the tropical storm winds and the soft breeze of a sunny day. Huge difference. And when you have gone through the experience of bad weather before; I have six tropical storm and hurricane under my belt.

I just hope the rain stops soon.
